Part of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity Learning Community Speaker Series, Kaleb shares his story From Top D1 Recruit to Purpose-Driven Leader. Kaleb Joseph’s journey is one of resilience and redemption.
Raised in a challenging home as one of eleven siblings, basketball became his escape — earning him Division 1 offers by eighth grade and ranking among the nation’s top 10 point guards. But the pressures of college stardom at Syracuse turned his passion into pain, leading to anxiety, identity loss, and ultimately addiction.
With help from two former NBA players in recovery, Kaleb transformed his struggle into purpose. Today, through his Self Help Tour, he travels the country helping young people build emotional intelligence, manage adversity, and discover identity beyond the game.
His message: Vulnerability is strength. Awareness is freedom. Healing is possible.
