At Sigma Phi Epsilon, we often say that leadership, brotherhood, and purpose are not things you simply join—they are things you step into. SigEp is just a fraternity… until the right men step into it.
At Kansas Beta, six outstanding seniors have done exactly that. They didn’t simply join the chapter—they embraced the SigEp Experience and elevated it for everyone around them.
These men honored the commitment of living in the chapter house for three years, helping build a stronger brotherhood and culture. They stepped forward into leadership, serving in Executive Committee roles and other key chapter positions. They represented Kansas Beta at national fraternity events, brought pride to the chapter in intramurals, academics, and campus involvement, and maintained cumulative GPAs above the chapter average.
More importantly, they built relationships, worked hard, supported their brothers, and continue to mentor younger members of the chapter. They have demonstrated what it truly means to live our Cardinal Principles and the philosophy of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love.
Their leadership and character were affirmed by the undergraduate Executive Committee, and tonight they are recognized with one of Kansas Beta’s most meaningful honors: the Kansas Beta Distinguished Senior Award.
We proudly celebrate: Aidan Ward, Aidan Shaffer, Josh Pileggi, Brady Fankhauser, Max Franklin and Cameron Oswald. As part of this recognition, each recipient receives a $600 scholarship to cover senior dues, lifetime membership fees, and priority invitation to serve as alumni volunteers, ensuring their leadership continues long after graduation.
These men are Balanced Men in every way—leaders who have grown intellectually, physically, spiritually, and socially during their time at Kansas Beta. Their legacy reminds every undergraduate brother of a simple truth: SigEp is only as powerful as the men who step into it. Follow their example. Learn from their leadership. Step into SigEp—and into your own greatness.
Because you are not just part of SigEp. You are SigEp.
And through men like these, Kansas Beta will continue to do great things.
