This has been a year of growth, recognition, and renewed energy for Kansas Beta.
Thirteen brothers represented Kansas Beta at the Carlson Leadership Academy. We were honored to receive the Frank J. Ruck Leadership Award, recognizing our commitment to positive change in the community. While our executive officers focused on role-specific training, other members joined the Rising Leaders track, led by Greg Pestinger ’86, to strengthen their ability to lead both in and out of the Chapter.
Our commitment to leadership was further recognized on campus when we won Excellence in Leadership at the K-State Fraternal Excellence Awards. We also shot the first Chapter House tour video in over a decade, a project that showcased recent improvements and reminded us of the pride we take in our home. http://kansasstate.sigep.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/43/2025/10/SigEp.mov
This summer, VP of Membership Development Armani McGovern ’27 attended the Ruck Leadership Academy, where he gained new skills to inspire and guide his brothers. Armani, Joe Hudson ’27, and I also represented Kansas Beta at the 59th Grand Chapter Conclave in Tampa, Florida. While we fell just short of bringing home a Buchanan Cup, we left motivated by the connections we made and the reminder of the legacy we’re building here at K-State.
Looking forward, we’re preparing for one of the strongest years in recent memory. Recruitment brought in our largest new member class in a decade, welcoming 30 men who are eager to make their mark. We’re excited for SigEp Safari Week, the Rob Regier Memorial Golf Tournament, and hosting Kaleb Joseph on November 13 for an impactful event on mental health and resilience.
Our Chapter is focused on building upon the foundations we’ve set and pushing toward even greater achievements. With dedication to Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love, I believe Kansas Beta is well on its way to earning our ninth Buchanan Cup in the near future.
